Most likely passage for the test:
No more? A monster then, a dream,
A discord. Dragons of the prime,
That tare each other in their slime,
Were yellow music match'd with him.
O life as futile, then, as frail!
O for thy voice to soothe and bless!
What hope of answer, or redress?
Behind the veil, behind the veil.
Context: Tennyson questions whether dinosaurs were more suited for this world. Man was God's last creation, but he argues life is futile, life is frail. If man was God's ultimate plan, why is life so much more straight forward for beasts like dinosaurs? Men need faith, otherwise they won't find an answer.
